AI Walkthrough: narrate your inspection, let AI write the scope

Estimatics

You already narrate your inspections. Now the AI listens.

Every experienced inspector does it. You walk the property, phone in hand, talking through what you see. "Water intrusion at the northwest corner. Baseboard is buckled. Drywall shows staining up to 18 inches. Subfloor is spongy underfoot."

You do this naturally. The problem is that until now, nobody was writing it down.

Your narration disappeared the moment you stopped talking. The findings lived in your head. The scope had to be reconstructed later, from memory, in the office, matching photos to notes you took on a different app.

AI Walkthrough changes that equation entirely.

How it works

Open the Estimatics iOS app. Navigate to your job. Tap Capture and select AI Walkthrough mode.

Start talking. Describe what you see as you walk the property. When you encounter damage, tap the screen to capture a photo. The app records your audio in 30-second segments, each tied to the photo you captured during that segment.

When you finish the walkthrough, the app sends your audio to the backend. Three things happen:

  1. Transcription: Your voice is converted to text using domain-specific vocabulary — the AI understands property inspection terminology, not just general speech.

  2. Finding extraction: The AI reads the transcript alongside the photos you captured and extracts structured findings — damage type, severity, location, material affected, and repair recommendations.

  3. Coverage assessment: The system calculates what percentage of the property you've documented and flags areas where evidence may be missing.

By the time you're back in your truck, the Analyze tab shows your findings organized by area, each tied to the specific photo that supports it.

What makes this different from voice notes

Voice notes are audio files. They sit in a folder. Nobody reads them unless there's a dispute — and by then, you can't remember the context.

AI Walkthrough produces structured data. Each finding has a severity rating, a damage classification, a location reference, and a photo link. That structure flows directly into the scope, the report, and the evidence package.

The difference between a voice note and an AI Walkthrough is the difference between a recording and a finding.

Plan availability

AI Walkthrough is available on all plans with different session limits:

  • FIELD: 5 sessions per month — enough for inspectors doing a few jobs per week
  • SCOPE: 30 sessions per month — for active adjusters and contractors
  • CERTIFY: Unlimited sessions — for firms and heavy-volume operations

Each session can include as many photos and as much narration as the job requires. The limit is on sessions, not on content within them.

What it means for your workflow

The inspector who uses AI Walkthrough doesn't spend 3 hours in the office assembling documentation. The documentation assembled itself during the inspection.

The scope draft is ready before the drive back. The findings are organized before the report is written. The evidence chain is intact because it was captured in sequence, with audio, photos, and timestamps aligned.

This isn't automation replacing judgment. It's automation handling the assembly so you can focus on the judgment.

The evidence quality argument

In a dispute, AI Walkthrough produces something most documentation can't: a timestamped, sequential record of what the inspector observed, in their own words, synchronized with the photos they captured at each moment.

A carrier's adjuster reviewing your claim doesn't just see photos and a scope. They see a coherent inspection narrative — what was found, when it was found, and the photo that proves it. That's a different kind of evidence.

Try it on your next inspection

Open the app. Start the walkthrough. Talk through what you see. Capture photos as you go. Finish the session and check the Analyze tab.

The scope draft will be waiting for you.
