Certified Evidence — SHA-256 Integrity & Audit Log

On the CERTIFY plan, Certified Evidence adds a layer of integrity to your documentation: each evidence file carries a SHA-256 hash, and the platform keeps an audit log of evidence events. Together they let you show that a file is the same file it was when captured.

We're precise about what this is — and what it isn't — because in appraisal and litigation, overstating it is worse than not having it.

What it does

Per-file integrity (SHA-256). Each photo, video, and evidence file is fingerprinted with a SHA-256 hash. If the file changes, the fingerprint changes — so you can demonstrate a file hasn't been altered since it was recorded.
Evidence audit log. Evidence events are recorded, giving you a history around the file.

What it does not claim

It is not a linked "tamper-proof chain" across files, and there is no public verification page. It is per-file integrity plus an audit log — no more, no less.
It certifies the evidence, not the AI's interpretation of it. AI findings are recorded as what the AI observed; they still require professional review.
It does not establish who captured the file, the legal admissibility of any item, or the condition of the property at any time other than capture.

Why it still matters

In a world where photos are trivially edited, being able to show that this file is unchanged since capture is real, defensible value. It supports your evidence; it doesn't replace your professional judgment or a licensed opinion.

Using it well

Treat integrity hashing as support for your evidence, not proof of your conclusions.
