Exporting Your Estimate

Once your scope is built and reviewed, Estimatics turns it into a deliverable. There are two ways out: a professional PDF, and an Xactimate (ESX) file.

PDF

Your estimate renders into a report — scope, quantities, and pricing laid out cleanly, with your organization's branding on the cover. It's the format most homeowners, carriers, and partners expect.

The Estimate report type is the estimate on its own; Complete puts it alongside findings, evidence, and geometry. Both require a SCOPE seat or above, because the estimate table itself is a SCOPE-tier report section.

Xactimate (ESX) export

Available now, on every plan. Your field work arrives in the format the industry already reviews, without anyone on your team having to be an estimating-software expert.

What's in the file

Estimatics assembles the ESX from what's already on the job:

  • The sketch — your room-by-room floor plan, as the measurement file
  • The line items — the full priced scope
  • The photos — organized by room, re-encoded as JPEG and attached to the project

What it costs

FIELDSCOPECERTIFY
Per export$10$10$10
Included monthly——5 per user

Exports are paid with prepaid export credits, bought under Settings → Billing — one credit per export. On CERTIFY, each user's 5 included exports are consumed before any credit is spent, and they reset each calendar month without rolling over.

Who can run one

Super Admin and Estimator only. Admin, Coordinator, and Field Inspector have no ESX access — exports cost money, so the roles that can spend it are deliberately few.

How it runs

  1. Open the Estimate module on the job and start an export.
  2. Estimatics builds the measurement file and creates the project, then uploads the sketch and the photos.
  3. Progress updates live — you don't have to sit on the page.
  4. When it finishes, the export shows as Ready and the ESX is available to download. If something fails, it shows as Failed with the reason.

Every export on a job is listed with its line-item count, photo count, and status, so you can see what a previous one contained without running another.

Two limits worth knowing before you export

  • 6 MB per photo after re-encoding, and a 100 MB budget for the whole package.
  • Photos that can't be decoded, or that would push the package past its budget, are skipped — and the export tells you how many were skipped rather than failing silently.

If a job has hundreds of photos, expect the export to carry a subset. Curate the evidence you actually want in Xactimate before running it.

Xactimate is a trademark of its respective owner. Estimatics is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored, or endorsed by it.

Before you export

  • Resolve inferred and low-confidence lines first. Anything still flagged is something you haven't stood behind yet.
  • Check quantities and pricing against the job, not the defaults.
  • Make sure each line points to its evidence. The export is the moment the file leaves your hands.
  • For ESX, check the sketch. The measurement file is built from your geometry — if an area was never scanned, it isn't in the export.
