Changing Your Plan

What actually changes when you move between FIELD, SCOPE and CERTIFY — who can do it, when it takes effect, and what it does to your bill.

Changing Your Plan

You can change your plan at any time. Nothing happens to your jobs, media, findings or reports — the plan decides which features your seats get, not what data you keep.

Who can do it: the account owner. Other Super Admins keep everything that doesn't move money — reading the billing screen, inviting people up to the seat limit the owner set — but the plan, the billing cycle and the seat limit are the owner's.

Where: Settings → Billing.

What "your plan" actually prices

Under the seat model, the plan rate is the price of one Estimator seat. Changing the plan re-prices your Estimator seats and nothing else:

SeatPriced by
Estimator (and the account owner)Your plan — FIELD $39, SCOPE $79, CERTIFY $174 per month
Field Inspector$39/mo flat, on every plan
Office (Coordinator, Admin)$24/mo flat, on every plan

So a team of one Estimator, two field inspectors and a coordinator moving FIELD → SCOPE sees $40 more per month, not four times $40. The two inspectors and the coordinator cost exactly what they cost before.

Full breakdown in plan comparison.

When it takes effect

This is the part worth reading twice, because upgrades and downgrades behave differently.

Upgrading takes effect immediately. The subscription changes now, Stripe prorates the difference, and the new features are live in the workspace as soon as the change lands. You're credited for the unused days on the old rate and charged for the remaining days on the new one; your renewal date doesn't move.

Downgrading is scheduled for the end of your current period. You keep the plan you paid for until the period you paid for ends, then it drops. There's no refund for the remaining days — because there's nothing to refund; you're using them.

A scheduled downgrade shows on the billing screen and can be cancelled before it lands, which puts you back where you were with no charge either way.

Switching monthly ↔ annual follows the same rule: monthly → annual is an upgrade and applies now, annual → monthly is scheduled for the end of the term.

If you're still on the free trial, a plan change applies with no proration and no charge at all — there's nothing being billed yet to prorate.

What you gain going FIELD → SCOPE

Four things, and they're all AI or report surface:

  • AI Narrative — the Narrative tab in Analyze, and the Damage Findings narrative section in reports
  • AI Copilot — the assistant that answers questions about the job in context
  • Document Intelligence for everything except policies — carrier estimates, carrier letters, mold assessments and clearances, inspection reports, estimate invoices, and other documents. (Policy extraction is on every plan, including FIELD. It was never the gate.)
  • Branded reports — your logo, company name and phone on the report cover, instead of the Estimatics cover

That last one also unlocks the report types built on SCOPE sections: Estimate, Analysis, and Complete.

Everything else — LiDAR, AI photo analysis, findings, scope generation, regional pricing, the evidence completeness check, ESX export, geometry, the Damage/Findings/Geometry/Custom reports — is already on FIELD and doesn't change.

What you gain going SCOPE → CERTIFY

Two things:

  • Cause & Origin — the AI cause-and-origin section in reports, which states its uncertainty where the evidence doesn't support a conclusion. Composes on insurance-claim jobs only
  • 5 Xactimate (ESX) exports per user each month, included — the export itself is available on every plan at $10 each; on CERTIFY the first five per user per month cost nothing

CERTIFY is a narrow upgrade on purpose. If you're not composing Cause & Origin or exporting to Xactimate regularly, SCOPE is the plan.

Existing jobs

Features are read from your seat live, not baked into the job. Upgrade today and the Copilot answers on a job you created three months ago; the Narrative composes on findings you confirmed last week. There is no migration step and nothing to re-run.

Frequently asked questions

Will my team lose access while the plan changes? No. Nobody is signed out and no work in progress is interrupted.

What if my card declines? The change doesn't process. Update the payment method on the billing screen and try again.

Can I change plans repeatedly? Yes. Each change is prorated, and none of it touches your data or job history.

Is there a trial of the higher plans? There already was one. A new account gets a 14-day card-less trial that runs at CERTIFY tier — every AI feature unlocked, no payment method — granted once the owner verifies their email. It carries usage caps rather than feature caps: 3 jobs, 150 photos, 3 videos, 2 LiDAR scans, and reports you can download. One trial per email; verifying again doesn't extend it.

Does changing the plan change what my inspectors can do? Only if they hold an Estimator seat. A Field Inspector seat is FIELD-tier on every plan — that's what makes it $39 on a CERTIFY account.

What happens to ESX exports I already bought? Nothing. Purchased export credits stay yours regardless of plan.
