Scheduling Inspections
The scheduler board: dragging unscheduled jobs onto a date, assigning the inspector, and the one permission that surprises people — Admins can't see it.

Scheduling Inspections
The Scheduler is where jobs get a date and an inspector. It's a calendar with a queue of unscheduled work beside it, and the workflow is to drag from the queue onto the calendar.
Who can open it
ℹ Note
The scheduler belongs to Coordinators. Super Admin and Coordinator have write access. Admin has no access to it at all — an Admin reads every job but doesn't dispatch.
That's deliberate: dispatching is a distinct job from administering, and the role that does it is the Coordinator.
Field Inspectors and Estimators don't use the board either — an inspector sees their own assigned work in the iOS Jobs list, sorted by date.

The board
Two views: Month and Week. Month for pipeline and capacity, Week for the detail of what's happening now.
The unscheduled queue sits alongside the calendar — every job created without a date. It's the backlog you work down, and its length is the honest measure of whether dispatch is keeping up.
Filter by inspector. Select one or several to see just their calendar. Combined with the month/year picker, that's how you check whether somebody is overloaded before you add to their day.
Scheduling a job
Drag it. Take the job from the unscheduled queue and drop it on a date. A dialog opens asking for three things:
- Inspector — who's going
- Date — pre-filled from where you dropped it
- Time — the appointment slot
Confirm and the job lands on the calendar, assigned. The inspector sees it in their iOS queue.
You can also set the date from the job itself, but the board is faster when you're dispatching several at once — that's what it's for.
Rescheduling
Drag the job to its new date on the calendar. Or open it and change the date directly.
Assignment and status
Scheduling a job assigns it, and assignment moves the job's status forward: a job at New becomes Inspection Assigned, and the scheduled date puts it at Inspection Scheduled.
Not every workflow uses both stages — a Quick Quote skips assignment entirely, and an Estimate Only job has no inspection to schedule.
Frequently asked questions
Can I set a time, not just a date? Yes. The scheduling dialog takes both.
Can inspectors see the calendar on iOS? They see their own upcoming jobs in the iOS Jobs tab, sorted by date. The board itself is web-only.
Can I export to Google Calendar or Outlook? Not currently. There's no iCal export today.
Can I block time for non-inspection work? No. The calendar is job-based; there's no availability or blocking feature.
Why can't I see the Scheduler? Most likely your role. Admin has no scheduler access — the module belongs to Super Admin and Coordinator.
Can I find scheduled jobs by address? Search by address from the Jobs dashboard, not the scheduler. Every job for that address comes back regardless of status.
